Welcome

First Baptist Church of Mebane is a place where everyone is welcome.

One Church. Two Locations.

FBC-Mebane Campus

301 S Third St, Mebane, NC 27302

If you’re looking for a church in Mebane, NC where you can explore faith, ask questions, and find community, we’d love to welcome you to our Third Street campus.

In the heart of downtown Mebane, this campus has been part of the community since 1901. The historic building and beautiful stained glass windows offer a glimpse into the generations of people who have gathered here over the years to worship, ask questions, and grow in faith.

On Sunday mornings, you can choose between traditional and contemporary worship services, depending on what feels most comfortable to you.

Throughout the week, the campus stays active with various ministries, classes, and gatherings for people of all ages and stages of life.

Whether you’re returning to church after many years or walking into one for the first time, we hope you’ll feel comfortable enough to ask questions, meet people, and explore faith with us.

New Life Church

New Life Church Campus

7416 State Hwy 49, Mebane, NC 27302

Located in northern Orange County on Highway 49, our New Life Campus is a place with deep roots and a new chapter still being written.

For more than 135 years, people have gathered on this property to worship, serve their neighbors, and walk through life’s joys and challenges together.

In 2025, the congregation joined with First Baptist Church of Mebane in a partnership that brought new energy and new opportunities for ministry while honoring the history of the church community that had been here for generations.

Today, New Life offers Sunday worship in a smaller, close-knit setting where people know one another by name and visitors are quickly welcomed into the conversation.

If you’re looking for a church in northern Mebane, NC, where you can get to know people and learn more about who Jesus is, we’d love for you to join us.

What To Expect

Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning to church after many years, or simply looking for a place to belong, we hope you’ll feel welcome here.

Worship Services
Most of our services last about an hour. At our Third Street campus, you can choose between a traditional service with hymns (8:30 am) and a choir or a contemporary service led by a worship band (11:00 am).

Some Sundays feature a full band, while others take on a more acoustic feel with guitar and vocals. At New Life, you’ll find a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship in a smaller, close-knit setting.

Children’s Ministry
If you have children, we hope they’ll feel right at home in our nursery and children’s ministry for infants through fifth grade. Children begin the service with their families during the music portion before heading to Kids Church for Bible lessons, activities, and time with friends their own age.

When You Arrive
Whether you’re joining us at Third Street or New Life, you’ll find people ready to welcome you and help you get settled.
